With an iWave® whole-home air purification system, you can improve the quality of air in your home by reducing harmful pathogens, allergens, particles, smoke and odors that can cause allergy, asthma or other respiratory problems.
How It Works
iWave is a whole-home air purifying device that installs inside of any ducted HVAC system. Its patented technology, called needle-point bi-polar ionization, injects equal amounts of positive and negative ions into the air stream. These ions break down passing pollutants and gases into harmless compounds like oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water vapor (see illustration below).
When the ions make contact with active viruses, bacteria or mold spores, they remove the hydrogen molecules. Without hydrogen, these harmful pathogens have no source of energy and will die off. The ions also attach themselves to allergens such as pollen, pet dander, dust and other particles, causing them to band together until they are large enough to be caught in your home’s air filter.

What Pathogens Does the iWave Protect Against?
With over 100,000+ installations, the iWave has become a top contender in the whole-home air purification industry. It’s patented needle-point bi-polar ionization technology is proven to kill a wide variety of harmful pathogens such as bacteria, viruses and mold. It also has a long track record of significantly reducing indoor allergens, odors, smoke and other microscopic particles.
EMSL Labs, a laboratory rated as “Elite” by the Center for Disease Control, has tested the effectiveness of iWave™ products against a sampling of pathogens representing a wide variety viruses. All testing was done in a large environmental chamber in an effort to simulate a home environment. The testing resulted in very high kill rates “in the space,” as shown below.
- STAPH – Reduced by 96.24% after 30 minutes
- MRSA – Reduced by 96.24% after 30 minutes
- E.COLI – Reduced by 99.68% after 15 minutes
- CLOSTRIDIUM DIFFICILE (C.DIFF) – Reduced by 86.87% after 30 minutes
- TUBERCULOSIS (TB) – Reduced by 69.01% after 60 minutes
- AIRBORNE MOLD SPORES – Reduced by 99.5%
- LEGIONELLA PNEUMOPHILA – Reduced by 99.71% from a solid surface after 30 minutes.
